We than mix the ground up veggies with flax, chia and hemp for a daily dose of EFA's. The nutritional density of dehydrated food is ancient knowledge. We started making small batches of flax crackers and cookies by hand and even tried our hands at truly sun-dried kale on hot summer days. We now make bigger batches and have a wonderful new dehydrator, but the juicing carrots are still from the local farm and the apples are picked up at the Okanagan Orchards. We soak the nuts and seeds overnight to increase bio availability of their nutrients. We soak and sprout lentils and buckwheat to give you a sprinkling of micro- and macro nutrients as well as soluble fiber. The sweetness that you taste is from dates and apples. Who needs sugar? We take out the water and voila: No preservatives needed.
